As President Joe Biden announced this afternoon that he is ending his candidacy for re-election, POWER Interfaith stands firm in our commitment to fighting for justice across Pennsylvania and beyond.

Our organization, rooted in faith and dedicated to social justice, remains unwavering in our mission to advocate for transformative change in education, living wages, climate justice, criminal justice reform, and civic engagement.

The coming months are crucial for the future of our state and our nation. Pennsylvania, as always, will play a pivotal role in determining the direction of our country. As we approach the November election, we are reminded of the power of our collective voice and the importance of our ongoing work to ensure that every individual has the opportunity to thrive.

We call on our communities to remain engaged and active in the democratic process. Now more than ever, it is vital that we continue to push for policies and leaders that reflect our shared values of equity, justice, and dignity for all. POWER Interfaith will continue to mobilize, advocate, and stand in solidarity with those who are marginalized and oppressed.

Today and every day, we reaffirm our dedication to building a more just and equitable society.

We believe that through faith, action, and the power of community, we can create the change we wish to see in the world.

In solidarity,

Rev. Dr. Gregory Edwards

Interim Executive Director, POWER Interfaith
