Women’s Theology of Justice

Women make up over half of those attending our faith institutions. The Theology of Women’s Justice Retreat seeks to bring women of faith and good conscience together to bring a gender lens to our organizing work deeply rooted in our various faith traditions.
As we prepare for the 2016 election, we want to gather with a broad group of women to develop our organizing skills, build relationships, and further examine the ways in which gender, class, faith and race intersect in our lives and communities.

During The Women’s Theology of Justice Retreat we will come together as women clergy, lay-leaders, and POWER/POWER Northeast staff to participate in trainings concerning:

  • Organizing around Personal, Congregational, and Social ideologies
  • The Prophetic Role of Women Faith Leaders
  • Community Resistance According to Faith Traditions

The Women’s Theology of Justice Retreat begins on Sunday, August 14th with check in from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM on Sunday, August 14th. Dinner will begin at 6:00 PM.
