We will summarize the comments from the hearing\, along with brief quotes. SUMMARY:Philly Climate Works Bike Outing
DESCRIPTION:Come bike with Philly Climate Works to learn more about Philly’s 2050 Climate Goals\, and the work that local organizations are doing to ensure that we meet these goals! We’ll have guest speakers from Clean Air Council\, Community Legal Services\, Physicians for Social Responsibility PA\, and POWER Interfaith. \nParticipants will go on a 3.5 mile bike ride from Center City to the Schuylkill River Trail\, with stops along the way to talk about climate resiliency\, housing justice\, and a just transition away from fossil fuels. \nThis event is FREE but registration is required. Participants will need a bike and helmet—if you don’t have either\, we’ll provide them if you indicate what you will need during registration. Please monitor the weather and dress appropriately; however if there is heavy rainfall\, the event will be postponed. \nWe will meet at 6pm at City Hall on the Northeast corner. If you need a bike or helmet\, please arrive 20 minutes prior to the start time to get situated with your bike and helmet. \nPlease note that this is an 18+ event and there are no pets allowed. \nLevel: Moderate\nCost: FREE\nBring: Water and a snack\, as well as your own bike and helmet (if you don’t have either\, we will provide them if indicated during registration) \nCancellation Policy: Heavy rain cancels
