Healing the Land & Repairing Harm: A Summit on Philly’s Refinery Redevelopment

April 15 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

We are THRILLED to invite you to “Healing the Land & Repairing Harm: A Summit on Philly’s Refinery Redevelopment”! Join us on Saturday, April 15th from 10 am – 4 PM at Audenried High School for a multi-generational, accessible, community-led conference about how the former PES oil refinery land should be put to new use. April’s summit will feature workshops on the many aspects of Philly’s historic refinery redevelopment and will offer a space for diverse stakeholders – including residents, city planners, environmental regulators, local business owners, and elected officials – to come together to build alignment on our priorities for the 1300-acre redevelopment.

We’ll share a detailed schedule closer to the summit, but here’s a sneak peek at a few exciting sessions that are in the works: – A Candidate Forum for Philly’s City Council and Mayoral primary elections, – Workshops on topics including policy solutions for gentrification, flood planning for S/SW neighborhoods, and contesting warehousing expansion in Philly, – A community theater piece about resident decision-making power, developed and performed by South Philly high school students! –> And more!
