Community Meeting

We are POWER Interfaith. We work for racial and economic justice on a livable planet. We know how much Germantown High School meant to the Germantown community and how upsetting it was when it closed. Since its closing, this community has organized and worked incredibly hard to make sure the development of it reflects the best interests of this community. We would like to invite you to make your voice heard at a community meeting about the redevelopment of the high school property. On the evening of Wednesday, October 25th, neighbors and members of community groups and local congregations will be gathering to find ways to get the developers to give us the information we want. The October 25th meeting will be held at First United Methodist Church of Germantown (FUMCOG), which is on Germantown Avenue, across High Street from the High School. The meeting will start at 6:30. We are focused on uncovering the developers’ plans for Germantown High School. The developers will be presenting their plans for Germantown High School on November 16 at Center in the Park. POWER’s meeting on October 25th will help us prepare for an effective November meeting and beyond. Please join us on October 25th!
