In a year like no other, POWER showed up. 2020 brought a global pandemic, uprisings in response to police violence and white supremacy, and an election rife with voter suppression, misinformation, and sedition. We were ready. When the shutdown happened, we pivoted to online actions, events, and healing spaces. In the wake of the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Walter Wallace, and Ricardo Munoz, our clergy and lay leaders found safe ways to take to the streets, literally or figuratively, in support of Black Lives. And our Civic Engagement Team and leaders reacted to the democratic crisis with facts, outreach, and voter mobilization. Above all, we amplified our leaders in responding to the needs of their neighborhoods, cities, and state. Pennsylvania heard from us at all levels in 2020!
